First Ever Ramadan Iftar Dinner at Fairfax County Government Center

Ramadan 1

American Turkish Friendship Association and Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, Chairman Sharon Bulova hosted the first Iftar Dinner at the Government Center on Friday, July 18th. The public Iftar Dinner was a great success with attendees from all diverse backgrounds of Fairfax County (over 100 participants). Multiple County Supervisors, Chiefs, Agencies, Turkish-American and American community members broke bread together and enjoyed a brief live Ney (Bamboo Flute) presentation. Participants were especially attracted to Ebru (water marbling) Art done by ATFA-Women’s Club members. Due to great interest and high volume of requests, ATFA plans on making this particular Iftar Dinner an annual celebration of community, friendship and joy!
