On the last day of the Turkish delegation’s visit in America ATFA and Fairfax County arranged a signing ceremony to reciprocate the one in Kecioren, Ankara, Turkey. Congressman Gerald Connolly welcomed the delegation and talked with them before the ceremony. The Board of Supervisors of Fairfax County honored the delegation to share their initiative with the people. Chairman explained in detail about the sister city initiative and her great experiences in Turkey. Chairman Bulova recognized the active Turkish American community for initiating such a relationship and her support for their dialog activities. The Mayor made remarks about Fairfax’s beauty and how that beauty has affected to its beautiful residents. He shared his excitement for this new bond and can’t wait to put in action. Later, Parliamentarian Isler continued to add to the Mayor’s remarks and assured that this relationship will bear fruits in the near future. He once again thanked Chairman, MAFTAA and ATFA for their efforts throughout this process and for the future. The delegation and the board than exchanged gifts and took pictures. The chairman and Congressman Connolly were given handmade crafts and Grand Turkish National Assembly’s Seal Plate.
